New Brake Rotors for ’01 Camry, what tools needed for job?

This summer I decided to take my classes online so I can work on my car as much as possible. It’s been fun so far, and my biggest job was installing a new radiator, dirty but easy work. Now my biggest challenge, installing new rotors. I have the manual but the tools needed for the job aren’t as specific. Anyone else tried it by themselves? What safety/mechanical tools are needed in order to carry out this mission? OR should I just have the rotors turned at a shop? (never been turned btw)

And unless they are grooved, they won’t have to be turned.

  1. If your brakes have not been making like metal to metal/grinding sound. Then more then likely you will not have to have them turned or new ones put on.

What will you need for your job. A lug wrench, car jack and jack stands. A large C clamp, several sockets with a ratchet also you might need some open end wrenches.
