How 2: repair pealing clear coat,

The clear coat lifting or pealing is a wide spread problem, on all makes and models of vehicles, here the method i use is passed on to the do it your self and restorer in the garage at home.
utilizing 1K primer and lots of sanding – if the whole bonnet is pealing, then chemical stripper is best.

When you say to power sand away from the clear onto the color onto the primer it seems to make sense at first……but remember that sanding disk is also coming around again the opposite way (as it spins) and then will be sanding TOWARD the clear…..
Although the roughest edges have already been taken down a little before it does come back around? I guess that would help some and not chip up the layers instead of feathering them down.
